Chances are, you’re already two weeks into your programs on SWEAT. If you’re anything like us—and the seven million other BBG sisters—you downloaded it when you first heard the news.
If not, it’s only a matter of time. The innovative new fitness app is revolutionising women’s training. Along with Kayla’s BBG workouts, the updated app contains bespoke programs from Kelsey Wells and Sjana Elise. But one of the features gaining a large amount of attention is the launch of Kayla’s latest program: BBG Stronger.
BBG Stronger is a strength-focused training regime that adds weights and machines into the mix. It’s a step-up Kayla feels the BBG community wanted.
“If I was training my clients, I would often do a BBG-inspired session but I might throw in a machine or two,” she told Amodrn. “I found that the women really loved using the machines, especially when they were able to do a heavier set than the previous weeks. They felt empowered and strong so that’s why I created BBG Stronger. I think it’s something that women need, that boost of confidence in the gym.”
While we’re all painfully familiar with the BBG workouts, BBG Stronger may be new gym territory but she reassures us, the format is much the same.
“[My programs] take you from a beginner all the way through to an advanced session, slowly introducing harder and harder exercises. The time never changes so you are always able to work at your own pace but as you progress, you are able to do more and that’s what it’s all about: doing more and pushing your body as you get further out of your comfort zone.”
Getting out of our comfort zone is a feeling that Kayla has made us all familiar with. Below, she gives us another taste with an arms and abs workout from BBG Stronger Week 4.
