Over the pandemic, we’ve all grown to become homebodies. From turning our houses into gourmet kitchens to becoming full-on interior designers, we’ve just about learned every skill a human being can have on the face of the Earth. In doing so, our obsession with plants and how we care for them has also increased tenfold. But just like fashion trends come and go, so has the popularity of different types of plants. There are some newcomers in the garden game. From the Rubber Tree to the Bird of Paradise, here are some of our favorites. Keep reading for more!
The Most Popular Houseplants
1) Rubber Tree ($169)
The Rubber Tree is one of our favorite houseplants because it’s super low maintenance and looks incredible in any home. The plant is extremely durable and easy for anyone to own. Make sure you clean the dust off of this variety from Bloomscape with gloves and be sure to water it every week or so. Shop here.
2) Bird of Paradise ($199)
This Bird of Paradise is also a super low-maintenance plant that looks great and takes up a lot of space. It’s impressive, tropical, with large and glossy leaves that will split naturally over time. Water this guy every week or so and it will actually clean the air for you. Shop here.
3) Snake Plant ($57)
If you’re looking for another low-maintenance plant, go for the Snake Plant. It doesn’t need as much watering as other plants do, probably between a Fiddle Fig and what a succulent might need (every two to three weeks). It’s an air purifier that can tolerate both low light and lots of suns. Shop here.
4) Monstera Deliciousa ($67)
This one is a bit higher maintenance but it’s oh-so-pretty. We love its natural leaf holes. It is so fun to watch grow from a little baby plant to a bigger plant. You’re going to want to water this one every one to two weeks and switch its position between low light and direct sunlight. Shop here.
This guy absolutely thrives outside and loves sunlight. Leave it by a window or on your porch. Make sure to water every week! Shop here.
