5 Scented Candles That'll Make Your Home Smell Amazing

By now, you probably have already discovered your signature home fragrance. (I’m looking at you LUMIRA in Cuban Tobacco). It is an expected part of adulting, after all. Just like finding your favourite nail colour, face wash and fake tan (and knowing that as you get older, experimenting with different products is probably not the best idea for obvious reasons such as breakouts or hating on your nail lady because she should’ve known the colour was going to come out different from the bottle).
But sometimes we have to let ourselves be open to all the new and wonderful things life brings our way, which is why we had no issue smelling (over and over again, may we add) some of the most divine candles that have landed on our desk this month (it’s a hard job, but someone’s gotta do it).
So whether you live beachside, countryside or are nestled in the streets of suburbia, we have managed to find the perfect scent to suit your home, mood and style. Now, where are those coffee beans…

Circa Home — Blood Orange

Even if you’re not usually one for fruity, nothing smells more like summer than a fresh, citrusy-scent filling the room. With a blend of blood orange, apple, jasmine and musk, the Circa Home double-wicked candle also has subtle hints of lemon and grapefruit for added zest. We love the wooden lid that also doubles as the perfect statement piece. Shop here.

Palm Beach — Patchouli & Woods

Think; Cologne and Cigars in the nicest way possible. Made from the finest soy based wax and scented with essential oils and extracts, this candle makes a luxurious addition to any space with its delicate touches of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, cedarwood, sandalwood and leather for a warm and woody finish. Shop here.

Infused with coconut oil, a base of warm amber, sandalwood and bush honey compliment notes of citrus, eucalyptus and sage flower to reflect the essences of native Australia. Complete with a pure cotton wick, Cocolux prides itself on a sustainable and ethical philosophy. We especially love how this eco-friendly brand encourages creative re-purposing, Some of our favourites include: a canister for your makeup brushes or a vase for your flowers. Shop here.

Wilds — Jasmine + Cedar

Although it’s summer here in Australia, it all seems to be about the comforting, smoky scents, and to be honest, we’re not mad at it. Again, this candle has a base of wood, musk and cinnamon with floral top notes including jasmine and rosewood. Set in a gorgeous white ceramic holder and stamped with luxe rose gold branding on the side, this is one you’ll definitely want to have on show. Shop here.

Is it silly to say that this candle smells exactly as you’d expect it to? As soon as you open the box, you’re hit with all the feels of good vibes and fun times. The ‘Love Is Love’ themed box is glittery and colourful to really set the mood and the fruity notes just make you want to sit back, relax and sip on a cocktail. Think; lots of passionfruit, lime, raspberry and orange. Shop here.
