If you’ve ever uttered the words “I think I’ll skip the gym tonight, it’s too far,” that’s about to change. WeWork, the famed co-working space, has launched a brand new fitness and wellness concept called Rise by We and it’s about to give your workout routine a serious upgrade.
Located in New York City’s Financial District, the new studio offers workout classes, personal training, a full-service spa and multiple workout rooms, and is part of the company’s mission to bring wellness to its workers and anybody else. That’s right, no need for a WeWork membership to get access to this space.
“‘Create a Life, Not Just a Living’ is in WeWork’s DNA. It touches everything we do, from our beautiful workspaces to our community events,” the company announced on Rise’s website. “Tied into this mantra is a call to wellbeing. From nutrition to fitness and mental health, our wellness offerings create a culture for people to live healthier lives in the workplace and beyond.”
And that means more options for a pre- or post-work sweat session are coming your way.
“At Rise, we believe in finding what makes you feel strong, energized and whole, and nurturing that feeling every day,” the company continues. “So we’ve created a unique space to support everyone who wants to feel good and be well.”
Intrigued? Here’s what you need to know:
Location
As of today, there is only one location: at 85 Broad Street in Manhattan, operating from 6 am to 10 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 6 pm on weekends.
Workouts
The Broad Street location is home to the MINDFUL studio, where you can downward-dog your way into the workday, a FIGHT space where you can take a Muay Thai-inspired boxing and martial arts class, and a FLIGHT room where you can run, row, and HIIT-ify your body in a quick session.
Extra Goodies
Get completely zenned out thanks to the company’s “superspa” (a Roman bath-like space), with the use of the mineral pool, aromatherapy steam room, a sauna room, and even a cold therapy room. If you’d like a little bonus pampering, you can also book a massage — a great way to unwind before that conference meeting.
Cost $$
An unlimited monthly pass currently costs $180, but Rise is also offering 4- and 8- visit packs (at $100 and $160, respectively). And pop by for your first class — it’s free!
