Nike Master Trainers are the fittest of the fit. You may know this to be true from the likes of Kirsty Godso and Traci Copeland. But have you met our latest source of fitness inspo, Nike’s Flor Beckmann?
Hailing from Texas, Flor is a fitness fanatic whose love affair started at an early age. With a mother who ran marathons, she was dishing out workout tips by the age of ten. Fast-forward a few years and she’s turned her passion into a career.
“I get to do what I love: spread a passion for exercise, teach women that being strong is beautiful and to be confident in their own skin,” says Beckmann.
But she’s not all fitness, and no fun; Flor may surprise you. She collects wine, wakes up to Outkast and smiles when she sweats. Meet Flor Beckmann.
Born: El Paso, TX Lives: Austin, TX Known for: Making you sweat with a smile Personal motto: Work hard and be nice to people Success is: Finding happiness in the everyday Advice I would give my 20 yr. old self: Wear more sunblock and enjoy the pizza People are surprised that I: collect wine and I am constantly finding wine deals online
I’m inspired by (person, place or idea): Women who are confident in their own skin
The biggest risk I have taken (that has paid off) is: Pursue my passion of fitness into a career. From my mistakes, I have learnt: Recovery is just as important as training. My most used emoji is: 💪 and ⚡
Wake up time: 5am Morning ritual: Wash face with tea tree face wash, great way to wake up! Brush teeth, put on workout gear, black coffee & a killer workout Desk lunch: Avocado toast with a dash of pink Himalayan salt which helps with hydration and strengthens bones. Last thing I do at night: Set my alarm with a fun pump up wake up song, currently Roses by Outkast, old one but a good one. Guilty pleasure: Pizza and wine 3 things vital to my day: My work, my family chats and training Café: Drugstore Espresso Juice: Green juice, it’s a great way to get veggies throughout the day and its delicious. If you can make your own, I recommend it, as bottled juices tend to lose their nutritional properties quickly. Coffee: Long black Culture stop: Good Human Studio/gym: Anywhere, with the Nike+ Training Club App.
