If you’re racking up the miles in preparation for your upcoming race and are in sudden need of a hair tie, tampon, sunscreen, or even energy gels, Lululemon has you covered. The athleisure company has brought digital vending machines to runners in Chicago and New York City to help them along their running routes in case of a training emergency. And the best part of all: they’re free.
These machines, which have been strategically placed along NYC’s West Side Highway and Chicago’s lakefront, are open daily, from 7am to 6pm (from your morning to evening runs) until November 8th, which means you can take advantage of the available gear through the entirety of your training plan for the TCS New York City Marathon on November 4th.
While the vending machines don’t offer any Lululemon leggings (for that, you’ll have to head to their stores or online), they do include Redd Bars and Honey Stinger energy gels to help fuel your long-distance sessions, as well as sunscreen from runner-favorite SuperGoop!, along with Body Glyde to help fight chaffing, and even Oars + Alps wipes to help keep you cool.
That means you can make a pit stop, refresh, or stash a couple items in your FlipBelt to use later on your run.

The products are all free — so no need to whip out your credit card or cash — and all you’ll need to do is enter your email address and post a photo using the hashtag for your city (either #thesweatlifenyc or #thesweatlifechi).
Now you can feel supported when hitting the trail. Lululemon has got you covered.
