Lululemon will now dress you from head to tippy toe, thanks to their new collaboration with APL. Yep, lululemon sneakers are coming your way, so you’ll be getting much more than just leggings at the powerhouse retailer.
In a brand new partnership with California-based Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL), the company is launching three brand new sneakers, based on APL’s most popular styles. The Techloom and the Ascend have become fan favorites, but the new lululemon-exclusive colorways will have you redesigning your activewear closet.
The three-item collection includes the unisex Ascend Black Reflective shoe (US $250), which “has 360-degrees of reflectivity—an all-black silhouette that stands out, even at night,” lululemon says in a press release, which makes them an ideal addition to your nighttime running outfit. “This is the first time APL has used reflective black yarn to create a shoe, a new innovation exclusive to lululemon.”
The millennial pink shoe (see feature), in the meantime, is the Phantom Cinder Rose (US$165), a monochromatic color choice selected by lululemon’s Concept Team that will be offered in the Techloom Phantom Shoe, one of APL’s most popular styles. According to the website, they’re the most lush and cozy shoe — “they fit as comfortably as a glove—scratch that, a sock—and give your feet unrestricted movement,” it reads.
Finally, the Ascend Black Ombre (US$200) is APL’s staple colorway, made unique to lululemon by changing the stitching overlays from white to black — a simple but totally on-trend change.
While APL shoes have been in limited lululemon stores since August 2017, these three new options (and a larger assortment of APL products) will now be available throughout stores in North America and at lululemon.com.
The new collab has dropped just in time for the holiday season. We hope you’re listening, Santa!
