Earlier this year, BANDIER teamed up with Ultracor to launch a range of star-printed leggings. You probably saw them on their ‘gram but that doesn’t mean you scored a pair—prior to their release, they had a 1000 person waitlist and sold out immediately, twice.
They’ve been the ‘it’ legging of 2017. In fact, they were the ‘it’ legging of 2016, too—the 5 colourway range was launched due to demand for the debut star-print legging, which was first introduced late last year. Needless to say, I didn’t get a pair. But just as I was coming to terms with the FOMO, I got word that the BANDIER x Ultracor collab was back and—dare I say it?—better than ever.
This time around, BANDIER worked with Ultracor to select colour pairings and to tweak the fit for optimised comfort and performance. “Every legging is made with patented built-in shapewear that lifts the butt, engages the core, and flattens the tummy. It is made from a breathable fabric with a seamless construction to get rid of unwanted panty lines,” they told us.
So what else is different? The exclusive legging features a higher waist, a thicker waistband and no centre seam. In other words, it’s more flattering. And the print is new, too. In keeping with the theme of starry nights, the new collection is called “Summer Storm” and instead of stars, it features lightning bolts.
But that’s not all. Along with leggings, the #SummerStorm collection includes sports bras, crop tops, a zip-up jacket and … wait for it … a unitard. Yep, give me a onesie and call me Flash, I’m getting in quick before the wait-list begins.
