Not that long ago, we shared some easy ways to make your beauty routine more eco-friendly in 2018, and right before that, Chloe Morello introduced us to the eco-friendly makeup remover she swears by.
Case in point: Here at Amodrn, we’re all for beauty products that are great for our skin and even better for the environment.
So whether you’re already committed to a cruelty-free makeup bag or you’re just getting started, this year is promising some exciting new products which need to get on your radar, stat!
Kat Von D Beauty: Studded Kiss Creme Lipsticks (Reformulated)
These statement lipstick bullets have always been best-sellers from KVD’s completely vegan beauty line (stocked exclusively at Sephora), and 2018 will see a new (and improved) formula launched in 40 (yes, you read correctly) shades with more opaque and creamy base.
Kat Von D Beauty: Lock-It Light Foundation
It’s little more than a rumour, but word has it that Kat Von D herself has confirmed to a fan whilst chatting that she will be releasing a lighter coverage, more dewy version of her much loved and bulletproof Lock-It Foundation formula.
Tarte Cosmetics: Shape Tape Foundation
We’ve seen the Shape Tape Concealer rule the beauty sphere over the past year (although it’s unfortunately never made it to our Australian shores), and now Tarte is teasing a Shape Tape Foundation which promises the same level of creamy, pigmented coverage as well as an oversized doe foot wand for ease of application.
Bite Beauty: Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick
The original Amuse Bouche lipsticks were drenched in hydrating ingredients in a flattering and expansive shade range, and 2018 will see the release of this same luscious colour in a liquid lipstick form for precision application. Bite notes that the product has “a nourishing formula for a semi-glaze finish” in 18 shades (we’ve got our eye on Demi-Glacé and Whip).
Urban Decay: All Nighter Waterproof Concealer
Now available in the US, the All Nighter Waterproof Concealer is the sister to the foundation version in the same formula, providing seriously long-lasting coverage and an impressive shade range without a weighty or drying finish on the skin.
Fenty Beauty: Brow Colour
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty lines blew everyone away in 2017, as did her commitment to a completely cruelty-free offering. Rihanna took a completely hands-on approach to each and every product, and in 2018 it looks like Fenty Beauty is set to launch at least one brow shaping, grooming or tinting product. In a response to an IG direct message, Rihanna states: “You know we’re building the illest eyebrow situation.”
So keep on the lookout for the drop dates of these much-hyped beauty releases that will certainly make our “best of 2018” lists!
