We’ve heard on the grape vine that nutritionist and Amodrn contributor, Lola Berry has teamed up with coffee mastermind, Salvatore Malatesta to open a juice bar and healthy food café. Yes, that’s right, the aptly named “Happy Place” is set to launch within the next few months, and if you’re already a fan of Lola’s wholesome recipes, we guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
“Happy Place is all about inspiring wellness and being a place where you can pick up healthy on-the-go meals, snacks, smoothies and juices. However, it’s also about empowering you to find the happy place within yourself,” says Lola Berry.
Think raw and paleo treats, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, nourishing salads and anything and everything in between. We couldn’t stop drooling over the sound of a ‘Rainbow Yoga Bowl’, which is jam-packed with poached eggs, green hummus, sweet potato, broccoli, baby spinach, cherry tomato and sauerkraut, or the ‘Strawberry Kisses’ smoothie of cashews, strawberries, coconut oil, rice malt syrup, vanilla, sea salt flakes and almond milk – sweet and salty all rolled into one…um yum!
All food aside, Happy Place will make you feel at peace with your inner self, with the interior reflecting Lola and Salvatore’s raw and organic philosophy. Picture a mix of earthy ‘monolithic’ concrete and stone materials, pops of colour juxtaposed against subdued tones and energising crystals strewn throughout the space.
“Our dream is for Happy Place to become an all-inclusive hub that partners with, and promotes, like-minded, local businesses (gyms, yoga, studios etc.) with a goal of greater community wellness,” says Salvatore Malatesta.
Catering for all dietary requirements including paleo, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free, there’s no excuse not to visit Happy Place.
