By this point, you’re probably very well aware of Y7 Yoga, the studio that lets you flow by candlelight to the beats of Dr. Dre, Jay Z, Chance the Rapper, and a rotating list of hip-hop’s latest and greatest names. And now, the fan favorite studio has opened its latest location in Williamsburg, and it’s true what they say: Brooklyn, We Flow Hard.
The sleek Brooklyn space officially opened on October 5th and is the latest extension of the original brand, which launched in 2013, and part of their new expansion that will also see location openings in TriBeCa (also in New York City) and Silverlake (in Los Angeles) by the end of 2017.
Here’s everything you need to know about the premier hot yoga studio…
The space:
Located at 170 S. 1st St. in Brooklyn, the 2,000-plus square-foot studio features lockers, bathrooms and showers, a full refresh bar stocked with Malin + Goetz products, and one yoga room that’s equipped with an infrared heating system, state-of-the-art sound system, and fits up to 30 people.
As all of its studios, the practice room has no mirrors or windows and is only lit up by candles. Just let the darkness, sweat, and beats take you on your vinyasa.
The swag:
The company is also launching a new exclusive line of Brooklyn-themed merchandise and apparel that continues its location-based (and perfectly hipster) tradition.
What’s new:
Traditionally, the studio has offered its signature WeFlowHard™ Vinyasa and Slow Burn classes, along with #HipHopWednesdays and #HipHopSundays where they feature the artist of the week and will continue to do so at their latest outpost. But the Williamsburg location also includes the launch of new, and hot, programming.
New WeFlowHard™ Core classes will be featured twice a week and include a shortened 45-minute class that focuses on strength training your abs. The studio will also debut the WeFlowHard™ 90-Minute Vinyasa flow on Sundays for those looking to work up a longer sweat and will launch two-hour workshops for Handstands, Sweat & Manifest, and WeFlowHard™ Essentials.
