In late 2015, Bam Bam Bakehouse opened on the Gold Coast’s Mermaid Beach, and quickly become the beach town’s go-to spot for handcrafted, buttery croissants and 14hr smoked brisket on fresh rolls.
On a recent trip to the Gold Coast I had to see if this hip hotspot lived up to the hype (spoiler alter: it did!)
Bam Bam Bakehouse is a clever mix of bistro-café and pâtisserie. Expect quality classics that everyone has come to know and love. For sweet tooth aficionados, you can’t go past the oh-so decadent cream-filled choux bombs, kinder surprise pots and Breton tarts. While, the wholesome salads and smoked meat sandwiches are sure to tantalise savoury taste buds.
“Our way of baking is about getting back to the slower pace of creating and doing things right. It’s an opportunity to bring the community together to celebrate something we’re proud of and keep the love of hand made pastry alive. We’re really proud, each batch isn’t identical, that’s the nature of hand crafted – nothings going to be exactly the same and thats why we celebrate it.”
