The old saying “to kill two birds with one stone” refers to using only one action to accomplish two tasks. In that sense, by going to Melbourne’s Two Birds One Stone café, you’ll be gastronomically satisfied and excited to come back, all at the same time. How’s that for being efficient?
With its bright, modern design, welcoming atmosphere, and delicious dishes, this South Yarra café definitely lives up to its name and reputation.
Amodrn’s very own Bianca Cheah recently visited the Claremont Street venue, returning with three delectable, stand out wins:
- The abundant choice of quality coffee
- The coconut pancakes with tapioca pudding (we’re drooling at the thought, too!)
- Smashed avo on soy linseed toast
Be sure to try out one, or all three, among the many other breakfast and lunch options, which are almost all made in-house. From smoking their own salmon and ham to making their own relish and baking pastries, the chefs have maintained a strong sense of originality with their wholesome menu. And if the real thing is anything like their Instagram feed, you’ll be suffering from choice (and taste bud) overload.
Although on the slightly small side, the 80 seater café boasts a communal table so you can sit around and chat to your neighbour while sipping on your cold drip 5 Senses coffee.
So go ahead, line up if you have to, we promise the exceptional vibe and unique menu is well worth the wait.
