To save you from a rumbling stomach mid-meeting, our very own Bianca Cheah has devised this super tasty, high protein lunch topping, which you can throw together in a matter of minutes. By using 100% natural Vita-Weat Five Super Seeds, which is a great low-carb alternative to bread, this recipe will also help banish bloating.
We even asked Amodrn expert, nutritionist and founder of The Healthy Ingredient, Bannie Williams, for her opinion on the pros and cons of this recipe.
Bianca’s high protein tuna topping on crisps
What you’ll need:
4 Vita-Weat Five Super Seeds $4.18
1 tin cooked tuna
1 boiled egg, sliced
3 cherry tomatoes, halved
Baby capers
Salt
Pepper
Method:
Top vita-weats with cooked tuna, boiled egg and cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle with baby capers. Season with salt and pepper.
Bianca’s comment:
“I’m all about high protein, low carb, so this is always a go-to meal choice for me.”
Bannie’s opinion:
“This is a great high protein snack or meal alternative to keep hunger away and fuel the body. Whole grains and seeds are an excellent source of fibre and minerals and opting for tuna in natural spring water can help keep the calories down in this recipe. Skip the salt if you are prone to fluid retention.”
