What’s better than a delicious, healthy, fresh salad for lunch? Well depending who you ask, a number of things. But if that delicious, healthy, fresh salad also comes with a plethora of anti-ageing benefits—then we’re all for it!
In an exciting new collaboration, Chargrill Charlie’s have partnered with qualified nutritionist, Liv Kaplan of @livinbondi to create a range of anti-ageing salads, where the ingredients have been carefully selected to promote glowing skin from the inside out.
Consisting of chicken breast, shredded red cabbage, carrot, avocado, coriander and sesame seeds with a homemade turmeric almond dressing—this salad is rich in colourful antioxidants, healthy monounsaturated fats and anti-inflammatory properties making it the ultimate beauty food for strong hair, skin and nails.

Recipe: Anti-ageing ‘Golden Glow Super Slaw’
Sesame Chicken Slaw
Serves: 4

Ingredients
- ½ small red cabbage, shredded
- 2 carrots, shredded
- 1 bunch coriander, stems and leaves finely chopped
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 500g cooked chicken breast
- 1 avocado
Turmeric Almond Dressing
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tbsp tamari
- 1 teaspoon turmeric ground
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 2 tbsp coconut cream
Method
1. To prepare the slaw, place cabbage in a large bowl with salt, olive oil and vinegar. Using hands or tongs, massage the cabbage to break it down a little, until it reduces in size and becomes glossy.
2. Add in the coriander, and sesame seeds and toss to combine.
3. To make the dressing, combine all ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
4. To serve, top the slaw with chicken breast, avocado and an extra sprinkle of sesame seeds and coriander. Serve with dressing.
