Porridge is a breakfast favourite but, more often than not, we reach for the same toppings each morning. So, to give your porridge a spring update try this wholesome banoffee buckwheat recipe. It’ll provide nutritional (and tasty) boost for the rest of the day.
Banoffee Buckwheat Porridge Recipe

Ingredients
PORRIDGE
½ cup Loving Earth Plain Buckinis (Certified by Australian Certified Organic)*
1 cup water
½ cup almond milk*
1 tsp Loving Earth Mesquite Powder (optional) (Certified by Australian Certified Organic)*
TOPPINGS
2 tbsp Loving Earth Cacao Nibs (Certified by Australian Certified Organic)*
2 tbsp Loving Earth Coconut Chips (Certified by Australian Certified Organic)*
1 banana (sliced)*
4 tbsp coconut yoghurt*
2 tbsp Loving Earth Plain Buckinis (Certified by Australian Certified Organic)*
6 squares Loving Earth Salted Caramel Chocolate (Certified by Australian Certified Organic)*
Method
- Cook the buckwheat in a pot with the water over high heat, stirring occasionally for 10-15 minutes (or until buckwheat has softened).
- Reduce heat to medium, add almond milk and cook for a further 5 minutes. Remove from stove, stir in mesquite powder (if using).
- Transfer to two bowls, top with sliced banana, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, raw buckwheat, coconut yoghurt, and place the salted caramel chocolate pieces over the top, give them a minute or two to begin to melt, and eat!
