This Video Game Burns 400 Calories Per Hour

If you’re a studio class aficionado or a solo trail runner, you know exactly which workout works for you and your body. But if you’re yet to find the most ideal workout style for you, consider this new video game. Bonus: It can help you burn nearly 400 calories per hour and boost your mood while improving your heart health.
Losing weight could really be as easy as playing a video game, it seems, thanks to the newly launched Just Dance 2018. The game, which features songs including “24k Magic” by Bruno Mars, “Side to Side” by Ariana Grande, “Swish Swish” by Katy Perry and “Naughty Girl” by Beyonce, among many, many others, is all about keeping you motivated and moving.
The company found that dancing for just 30 minutes alongside these tracks can burn a whopping 200 calories. Do the math, and quickly you’ll realize that an hour a day means you’re burning off 2,400 calories per week.

“I feel my best when I’m moving around and dancing!,” says professional dancer Tori Wade, who is also a Just Dance 2018 ambassador. “The great thing about being a dancer is the high intensity training that’s beneficial and so much more satisfying than running on a treadmill. I’m so excited to be working with Just Dance 2018 to inspire everyone dance their hearts out and get the party started!”
Because it’s a great low-impact cardio workout, it’s great for your heart, joints and muscles. You’ll get the sweat and cardiovascular benefits without straining your body to keep up with fast reps, heavy weights or a mile time.
Plus, you get the bonus benefits of improved coordination, stability, stamina, and even balance… all things we could use in our everyday lives.

But that’s not all. Prepare yourself for a major boost in confidence and endorphins, improving your mood and increasing happiness one move at a time, upping your chances of preventing dementia, and even fighting stress.
“Dancing helped me so much with my confidence and I think that’s an important skill for everyone to build,” Wade adds. “For me, the cure to an off-mood is putting a song on that I can jam out to, it instantly puts me in a good mood and makes me feel energized. Being able to express emotions through movement is probably the most rewarding thing about dance!”

The best part of all, there’s no need to be a seasoned or professional dancer to complete the workouts. Novices and beginners are all the more welcome. Dancing shoes fit all.
“You don’t have to be at a certain level to be a dancer, it caters to all levels and it’s a great activity to do with friends and family,” Wade adds. “Learning and retaining new moves is great for the mind and body!”
