It seems The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney is taking a trip to Narnia this summer with the opening of an enchanted pop-up in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter.
The cafe come magical cottage, known as The Grounds House, will be open from December 30th to January 24th, providing food, fun and fanfare. Inspired by the literary endeavours of English authors, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, the house was designed to transport Sydney-siders to a mythical world and give them a spellbinding experience unlike any other.
With a cleverly crafted menu, The Grounds House will offer cult favourites from The Grounds of Alexandria including the all-day brekky burger, smashed avo and the fish of the day, along with other whimsical surprises.
Originally constructed for Bondi’s Sculptures by the Sea, The Grounds House will be situated next to Circus Oz and Water World Central, creating a whimsical wonderland, perfect for a day out with the kids.
“Blending into its natural surroundings The Grounds House has transformed from its beachside setting and nestled itself beautifully into the open space of greenery on the Showring to complement the family friendly atmosphere that will be brought in by Circus Oz and Water World Central,” says Ramzey Choker, co-director and creative head of The Grounds.
