Have you ever been at an outdoor cinema and thought “the only thing that would make this better is if I was in my warm, comfy bed?” Same. As great as the idea of an outdoor cinema is, it kind of distracts you from the movie when you’re shivering away on your picnic blanket.
That’s what makes the concept of Mov’in Bed in Sydney, Australia so genius. Basically, it’s an open air cinema with queen size beds — so you can enjoy ultimate comfort as you watch a movie under the stars. They’re also equipped with colourful LED lights, so you KNOW you’ll be getting some great Instagram shots.
Movi’n had their first (very popular) season in the Western suburb of Parramatta earlier this year, but have moved a little closer to the city in their new home at the Showring at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park.
With a wide selection of films on offer, there’s something for everyone. The Mo’vin Bed folks have promised everything from international blockbusters like Dunkirk and Wonder Woman to Disney classics like Cinderella, Peter Pan and Toy Story and horror movies like IT and The Shining. And because no movie-going experience would be complete without ALL of the food, Mov’in Bed have partnered with Fratelli Fresh, Bavarian Bier Cafe and Burger Project so you can order food directly to your bed. Is this a homebody’s dream or what!?!
The season starts on October 27 and goes until December 2. You can find out more about Mov’in Bed, book tickets and check out the movie selection here.
