We’ve all had the steamy firefighter fantasy. Don’t deny it. It’s normal, it’s enjoyable and it’s enough to get anyone as hot as the imaginary burning building.
But like so many things in life, reality is a bit of a let down—contrary to what Hollywood may have us believe, we rarely go home with the fireman (or woman). But with the rise of online dating making it easier to meet up and hook up with just about anyone—not to mention, filter your criteria down to their underwear choice (ok, not really but maybe it should)—is the fireman what we’re all still lusting after anyway?
According to new statistics from dating app, Happn, not so much. They pulled data from their no-doubt huge population of single (we hope) users to assess the most attractive jobs for both men and women worldwide. And, spoiler alert: firefighters didn’t even make top 10.
It turns out we’re all a bit vanilla after all. The hottest profession for both men and women is a lawyer while the most popular industries are finance, architecture and medicine (so I guess the naughty nurse still made the list).
Interestingly, all these careers require a lot of time on the books so perhaps brains is overtaking braun after all. Either that, or Netflix is the new porn and we’ve all been watching way too much Suits.
Moral of the story: Listen up, high school seniors, if you’re thinking about what career move to make, these are the ones guaranteed to get you laid. Like, long-term.
