Winter is probably our least favourite season. Exercising becomes harder and eating gets easier. We grow bigger as the days get smaller. That being said, winter has one redeeming quality: boots.
Yep, it’s time to dust off your favourite boots that sat so patiently in the closet—and even make space for some new ones. I mean, we lose heat through our feet so it’s only sensible, really.
Below, take a gander (and obviously shop) some of the most stylish, flattering boots we’ve seen this season.
Gold Boots
Colourful boots are making a comeback this season and we’re thrilled. They can turn any outfit from ordinary to original. Above, Lucy Williams rocks her gold pair with a classic black ensemble and we think she looks pretty darn good.

Red Boots
At it again with the colour pop; Deratymur almost has the complete spectrum. We love their bold red ones in both suede and patent leather. Prepare to see them everywhere!

Sock Boots
Dare we say it, sock boots may be the biggest trend this winter—and for good reason. They’re flattering, functional and they’ll keep you extra warm. Pair it with leather pants or jeans on crisp days and a floaty dress and coat when it’s not too chilly.

Wrap Boots
Whoever said you couldn’t pair boots with luxe trackpants clearly hasn’t met Yan Yan Chan. Above, wearing the Ellery Susana Wrap boot, she makes it look effortless.

Classic Black Boots
While there’s always a place for the fun and flirty bright hues, classic black boots will get you through winter. If you’re limited for closet space, choose them wisely. We love these flattering sock boots from Tony Bianco as worn by Talisa Sutton. They’re high, hugging and will go with anything.
