The general rule of thumb is that you should replace your yoga mat every six to twelve months—depending on how much you practice. And we know exactly what we’re going to be striking our chair poses on once ours is due for a replacement.
Australian artist, yogi, and Instagram influencer, Sally Mustang has just released a range of printed yoga mats—and we’re obsessed with the beautiful designs and exceptional quality.
Here’s the lowdown…
Mustang, and her partner Mitch Gobel, may be known for sharing decidedly sexy escapades online, but there’s more than meets the eye. She’s multi dimensional in her talents: Painting, creating and teaching yoga whenever the opportunity arrises. So, it only seems fitting that she’s combined these passions.
“I just want to teach people how to be happy. I want to remind people to fall in love with the world. I’m essentially an adventurer and I’m passionate about being creative,” Mustang explains. “I want to leave some colour in this world.”
The aesthetic of Mustang’s mats are not made with the minimalist in mind. The abstract designs are imbued with vibrant shades of blue and pastel pinks that give each mat a fresh, contemporary skin.
And they’re not just easy on the eye. The mats are constructed from a natural recycled rubber base, with a microfibre printed surface. The natural rubber, which is enviornmentally friendly and a renewable resource, is super-light, extra cushy, extremely grippy and a healthier choice for yogis, as it doesn’t contain harmful chemicals, which can be released in other petrochemical-based syntheic rubbers.
