We all have that one Pinterest board for our office interiors. No matter what it’s labelled—“Home Office Inspo”, “Cute Desk Ideas”, “How To Style Your Workspace So You Get Sh*T Done”—it’s inevitably filled with the same pins: inspirational prints, quirky, motivational calendars, colourful notebooks and indoor plants. In other words, beautiful desk spaces that make you want to go to work.
It’s a positive board. It makes you feel good. But it’s also a source of great frustration. Why? Because you never know where the products are from.
How many times have you scoured the web for that wall hanging with the hilarious quote or that bespoke hand-drawn diary? Those pieces you just had to have but couldn’t find. Well, we want to let you in on a little secret: more often than not, they’re from Etsy.
You may have perused Etsy before. It’s a peer-to-peer online store filled with unique, handmade and vintage products, arts and crafts. With more than a million independent sellers from all over the world, you can literally find everything you could imagine—and a lot of things you can’t. After a personalised ring? You’ll find it on Etsy. Looking for a quirky water bottle? Yep, Etsy. It’s like visiting an artisanal market in a town you stumble upon on your travels, minus the airfare—and we’re obsessed.
Want a little inspo that you can actually recreate? Check out our SYD office and all the knick-knacks we scored off Etsy.
