Although it may seem that going off the grid is nearly impossible these days, we’ve found a secluded paradise at An Lam Ninh Bay Villas in Ninh Hoa, Vietnam. In fact, you’ll need to take a speedboat from the An Lam Welcome Center north of Nha Trang town to reach the resort.
What to expect:
As if drawing completely from your dream island getaway, villas are built from solid wood, bamboo and nipa leaves. There are various villas to suit the number of guests. The most basic is the Hill Rock Pool Villa for two — although believe us, there’s nothing basic about its exotic ambiance and true-to-Vietnam decor. If you want an upgrade, there’s the Lagoon Pool Villa, the main difference being the grey-washed walls for travellers who prefer a mode modern feel and slightly more space. For groups of four, An Lam Ninh Van Bay Villas offers Beach Front Pool Villas and Lagoon Pool Villas with two bedrooms.
The villas feature an open concept with a large living area, outdoor bathtub and rainshower, as well as an outdoor bale for massages.
What to do:
Have steak for breakfast. The breakfast buffet is extremely diverse, even the pickiest of eaters will be spoilt for choice with Western, Vietnamese and vegetarian fares. The cold buffet includes muesli, fruits, bread and cereal. Guests of age also receive a complimentary sparkling wine.
Kids dine for free. While guests enjoy a beachfront lunch, kids receive their lunch for free!
Partake in activities. Who says you have to relax.. to relax? Have fun playing volleyball by the beach, kayak or hop on a yacht cruise. Yoga classes and packages are also available at an extra cost.
Make it memorable. Opt for something unique, like a cooking class or picnic lunch, or even a tour of Nha Trang.
