Here at Amodrn, we’re forever inspired by Alo Yoga’s mission to bring yoga to the world. Not only are they a super successful activewear brand (loved and worn by the likes of Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Olivia Palermo, no less), their core ‘Yogalosophy’ focuses on the belief that by spreading the practice of yoga and all its incredible benefits, they are one step closer in changing the vibration of the world.
Bringing this philosophy to life, Alo Yoga is known for their annual retreats in Palm Springs, where three days are filled with all things wellness and yoga. Amodrn’s founder and yogi, Bianca Cheah was lucky enough to attend another year of festivities.
“Alo Yoga are so inspiring. I love how they’re trying to bring yoga to the world with these annual retreats,” says Bianca. “They’re super fun and just an amazing way to connect with likeminded people and form new friendships.”
Alongside an impressive list of 120 yogis, in attendance were the likes of @yoga_ky and @talia_sutra.
So, what exactly went down? Think along the lines of morning yoga, sunset photoshoots and sound baths under the stars.
“There was a tangible buzz of excitement and sisterhood, brotherhood, family and loving intention… I’m so grateful for every smile, laughter, conversation, hug (and handstand) we shared.” – Talia Sutra for Alo Yoga.
On the first day, there was a yoga flow led by Melini Jesudason which was designed to help increase flexibility. Then, guests enjoyed an all-day pool party where there was lots of swimming, sunbaking, acro yoga and handstands in the pool.
A DJ, massage therapist and facialist was also on site, along with the opportunity to get a mani and pedi—basically, all the necessities.
At night, there was a white-themed party where everyone dressed in white, followed by sound baths beneath the stars. The remaining days were filled with more yoga, pool hangs and all the good vibes you could imagine.
And that’s a wrap for another year!
