Sometimes it seems there’s nothing Gwyneth Paltrow can’t do. She turned a digital publication into a print magazine, an online store into a brick and mortar flagship, and a label into a health and wellness empire. And just last week at Love Yoga in Venice, California the actress announced her debut into the world of digestible beauty with the release of a morning skin superpowder, goopglow.
“goop is supercharging your morning skincare routine with our first-ever skincare that you can drink, goopglow morning skin superpowder: a power shot of six potent antioxidants that provides nutritional support for healthy, glowing skin that fights free radicals, provides photo protection, and helps build collagen,” the company says.
“If we had it our way, we’d sweat each morning, eat an array of antioxidant-rich foods at every meal and sleep eight hours a night,” the company says. “But even when we manage to do all of that, the reality is all day our skin faces sun, pollution, stress, and other toxins that can cause damaging free radicals and oxidative photo damage (in other words, premature aging, from lines and wrinkles, to dullness, uneven tone, and loss of firmness).”
But that’s where the superpowder comes in. Filled with vitamins C and E (for skin development and improvement in collagen), as well as coenzyme (to repair damage caused by free radicals), lutein and zeaxanthin (a good protector from UV rays), and grape seed proanthocyanidins (another antioxidant that’s been shown to have anti-aging benefits), the powder is designed to nourish from the inside out.
And when goop debuted the new product recently in Venice, Amodrn’s Bianca Cheah was there to check it out. She said, it’s easy to use—just mix it with water—and has a tasty orange verbena flavour.
goopglow is now available on goop.com and at goop Lab for US $60 (for a 30-3 g package). It’s also non-GMO, gluten-free and vegetarian. Read: great for your skin and your soul.
