There’s no denying that fitness apps have revolutionised the way in which we choose to exercise. They’ve bought new meaning to ‘do-anywhere, anytime’ and have even eliminated the real need for a physical gym membership.
I personally prefer using fitness apps for my workouts, and if you too are someone who enjoys training on your own but don’t want to miss out on the guidance of an expert (or experts) to ensure you actually get results, they truly are a game-changer.
Launching globally in February 2019, Centr is the new digital health and wellness program created by Australian actor and fitness-enthusiast, Chris Hemsworth *insert fire emojis here*.
Recruiting a team of over 20 internationally-renowned health experts spanning across the areas of fitness, nutrition and meditation, Chris’ impressive list of hand-picked talent includes wife, Elsa Pataky, who specialises in boxing and yoga, Jorge ‘The Spaniard’ Blanco who used to train Meghan Markle, former trainer on The Biggest Loser Australia and founder of TIFFXO, Tiffany Hall, cookbook author and NYC cafe owner, Dan Churchill as well as Alexis Naim, psychotherapist and co-founder of the La Maida Institute in Los Angeles, just to name a few.
“I believe we all have untapped potential. And we all need support to achieve our goals. Centr puts the world’s best in the palm of your hand, to help you develop a healthier body, stronger mind, and a happier life,” Chris Hemsworth said in the press release.
Centr allows you to select your workout (ranging from boxing and HIIT to strength training, MMA and yoga), choose your trainer, set your goals and workout intensity whilst providing you with the flexibility to customise the program to suit your fitness level and dietary requirements.
All meal-plans on offer through the program are dietitian-approved and vary from gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian options, amongst others.
“My goal was to build a program that takes the guesswork and excuses out of training, eating and living well,” Chris took to Instagram to share.
“@CentrFit gives you access to the same team of world-class experts in health and well-being that I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from over the years, and who have inspired me to live a healthier and happier life…”
