We’re mid-summer here in the United States, but swim designers are already showing off their wares for next season’s sunbathing sessions.
Miami Swim Week, the largest and most prestigious swimwear showcase in the world, kicked off last week in sunny Miami, Florida. Hundreds of swim brands flock to Miami Swim Week to introduce new styles and hopefully catch the eye of buyers, and there’s plenty to see and be seen. Supermodel Shanina Shaik walked for Beach Bunny Swimwear, and popular brands like Luli fama had shows with packed crowds.
Australian luxe wet activewear brand and duskii saw their SS17 Waikiki collection make a catwalk splash on Saturday 22nd July at 7pm (Sunday 23d July 9am AEST) at The Tent, Vintro Hotel. The celeb-favorite brand is loved by Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Kate Upton, Michelle Monaghan, Elyse Taylor and Gemma Ward.
Duskii saw over 600 buyers, media and influencers across the globe attend the show, with fitness guru and leading model Hannah Saul walk exclusively for the brand.
Duskii also participated in the Hammock trade show on Friday, 21 July, 2017 at 7PM at the Wet Deck & Pool, W South Beach Hotel.
Inspired by the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands, duskii’s Waikiki collection celebrates the Spirit of Aloha through tropical forest prints, colours of the coastline and athleisure silhouettes. The Hawaiian Islands embody all that a duskii woman is—adventurous, free spirited, and effervescent. The collection also introduces a range of Lycra pieces whilst maintaining duskii’s signature ‘Bond Girl’ status neoprene’s in bold shapes with perforation details and edgy cut outs.
Tash Oakley was also at Miami Swim week with a pop-up bikini store for her line, Monday Swimwear. Oakley is the founder of the popular blog, A Bikini A Day, and her subsequent line sprang from her beachside travels and need for sexy, comfortable bikinis.
