Love coffee and all things pink? Us too! And even if you’re not the biggest fan of Hello Kitty, we’re betting our bottom dollar that you were at one stage or another so we’re certain you’re going to appreciate this piece of er, hard news.
That’s right, the most highly-anticipated, Insta-worthy cafe is just about to open its doors in Irvine, California (September 14) and the space is all that you’d imagine it to be and more.
Decked out in pretty pink interiors with bows as far as the eye can see, the cafe offers two seperate experiential settings. One caters mainly to ‘walk-ins’ and those who are passing through for a quick grab-and-go coffee and sweet treat (we’re talking hot cinnamon donuts, matcha and character-shaped mini cakes).
The second area is more exclusive. The Bow Room has been dubbed a “hidden, reservations-only, pink oasis” where high tea is served from Wednesdays through to Sundays. Here you’ll find all your classic favourites including sandwiches with the crust cut off and scones with jam and cream along with themed-treats like Hello Kitty-shaped sugar cubes. Adorable.
In the evening, The Bow Room transforms into a cocktail lounge, offering themed beverages and Hello Kitty brand wines and cocktails.
Although Hello Kitty inspired cafes have popped up in the US before, you’d be happy to know that the new Irvine location will be the first to stay permanently.
