The silly season is well and truly upon us (only 20 sleeps left ’til Christmas, you guys!) and if you happen to live in Sydney (or visiting for the summer holidays) we’ve found a new hotspot you need to visit.
The Rooftop Sydney is a Hamptons-inspired bar located in the centre of Sydney’s CBD and offering serene views of the iconic Darling Harbour. It boasts a relaxed atmosphere and a great selection of gluten-free and vegetarian options.
Whether you’re swinging on hanging chairs in the open air, or sipping a cocktail on handcrafted rattan seats whilst the sun begins to fade, you’ll start to imagine that you’ve been invited to stay at a friends luxurious home in the Hamptons (and let’s face it, don’t we all want that?).
Crisp white decor and hues of blue are spread throughout the venue, whilst luscious greenery and bespoke palm leaf wallpaper accentuates bold colours, allowing you to get lost in a calm seaside-vibe.
If you’re only after a drink or you’re in the mood for some tapas-style eating, The Rooftop has everything you need to satisfy those cravings. The menu is designed around share plates, where you can opt for a light meal, or choose a few plates to share among friends (or yourself, absolutely no judgement here).
From Moroccan chicken skewers to the fresh watermelon salad with added cucumber, honey toasted walnuts and lemon agave dressing, the share plates are the perfect lightness of a summer meal, but also robust in flavour.
The cocktail list also pays homage to warm summer evenings, think botanical mixes and gin meets Aperol, for an infusion that, if you haven’t been persuaded yet, has you believing you’re on a luxe vacation.
The Rooftop’s entertainment schedule includes DJs on Friday nights, wine specials on Wednesday evenings and a $10 cocktail special every Thursday.
