7 Easy Strength Moves That'll Really Tone Your Arms—And Fast

All you'll need is a resistance band, a set of dumbbells and some motivation!

Snez is in full ‘wed-shred’ mode and with a sleeveless wedding dress, she has asked for some extra arm-workouts to tone those guns for the big day. If you want to tone your triceps and get beautiful biceps, try this Snez-approved arm workout for yourself:

Shoulder press

Keeping tension in the resistance band with both hands on either end and palms facing each other, lift your arms directly upwards overhead whilst keeping tension on the bands.

Bicep Curls

Hook one end of the resistance band over a lower surface such as a doorstop, corner of a table or something of the like. With one hand in each corner of the band (forming a triangle with the end that is attached to surface) slowly curl your hands up towards your shoulders, keeping tension in the biceps and your elbows hugged into your sides. Slowly release and return arms to starting position.

Overhead dumbbell tricep extension

In a half-kneel position take the dumbbell above your head, lower the dumbbell behind your head getting a big stretch through your triceps and then push the dumbbell directly up to the ceiling, squeezing your triceps with every rep.

Close grip push-up

Get into a normal push-up position but bring your hands in closer than shoulder width so they’re almost touching. Keeping your elbows in by your sides, lower yourself until your chest almost touches the floor (keeping your body aligned like a normal push up) before returning to your starting position.

Tricep kick back left side

Start on all fours with a dumbbell in one hand. Keeping your torso parallel to the floor, extend the arm with the dumbbell backwards so that your arm is in line with your shoulder.

Tricep kick back right side

Repeat the above with the other arm.

Bicep boxing uppercuts

With a dumbbell in each hand, stand slightly wider than shoulder width apart with a slight bend in the knees for stability. Go through the boxing uppercut motion in quick succession with the dumbbells in your hands for increased intensity.
