Picture this: you’re out on a run, the wind is whipping through your hair, and beads of sweat glisten across your shoulders. You’re gritting your teeth, willing your aching limbs to carry you just that little bit further, and then the pain falls away. You lose yourself in the panoramic views of a rugged coastline and endless ocean. Yep, no city does a scenic run quite like Sydney.
Home to a breathtaking harbour, iconic architecture and lush bush land areas; Sydney provides plenty of opportunities to hit the pavement. So if you’re tired of the monotonous treadmill (don’t worry, we’ve all been there) read on to find out where else you can clock up the kilometres, and snag an awesome view.

Henry Head Circuit

Distance: approx. 7.3km

Manly to North Head

Distance: approx. 9.9km

The Manly to North Head Run is popular among seasoned runners and beginners alike, and for good reason. Expect an epic hill and an epic view.

Cronulla Esplanade

Distance: approx. 5.9km

This route is giving the iconic Bondi-to-Bronte a run for its money, combining magnificent views with varied inclines. Be sure to cool off post-run at one of the many beaches or rock pools.

Harbour Bridge Run

Distance: approx. 9.8km

Weave your way over the Harbour Bridge, past Luna Park and along the waterfront trail that runs through McMahons Point and Lavender Bay. Trust us, this route is not to be missed.

Mort Bay

Distance: approx. 5.1km

The Mort Bay Walk starts at Mort Bay Park in Sydney’s inner west and extends around scenic Ballast Point Park, which overlooks the harbour. It makes for a relaxed recovery run, as it isn’t as long as some of the other tracks. Not to mention, it’s dog friendly so your precious pooch can tag along.
