I’d be lying if I said I owned just one pair of black tights.
Ok, I’d be lying if I said I owned just five, too.
Much to my husband’s dismay (“but they’re all the same”), I own multiple because to me, every pair offers something different. Some are more functional while others more flattering. Some are long, others short. They have mesh detailing and performance fabrics—no two pairs are the same. And since I’m a firm believer that one can never have too many black tights, here are some of my favourites that sculpt, shape and support.
If you’re looking to fill a black tight-shaped whole in your wardrobe, look no further.
Alo Yoga High Waist Airbrush Legging
An on-trend high waistline on Alo’s classic legging, and it’s the perfect update. Spotted on Gigi Hadid, the High-Waist Airbrush Legging has a 4.5-inch rise and all the best assets of the classic version, like no side seams and a yogi-tested fit that lifts and sculpts.
Bianca’s review: Although hard to slide these on and off (I almost fall over trying to get my foot through), these tights are quite possibly the most flattering legging I have ever worn. Literally, I’m yet to take them off!

Bianca’s review: I’ve always been a long time fan of lululemon and have been waiting for them to replace my favorite tights that they discontinued. So although not the same, these are pretty much the same fit and I couldn’t recommend these more for sculpt, shape, comfort and style.

Skechers Womens Arabesque Deux Leggings
The Arabesque Legging is made from a nylon, poly and Spandex blend fabric in a performance fit with the Skechers GOFLEX ULTRA™ fabric and reflective logo detailing for low light settings.
Bianca’s review: Since spending a lot more time in the States, Skechers (a household name over here) has now become a good part of my wardrobe. I love the thickness of these tights and how they crop at the ankles. They do sit a bit low on my hip, which I kept having to pull up, but overall extremely comfortable and supportive.
