If your idea of a perfect weekend is chilling out in a yoga class, listening to some cool tunes and dining on delicious food, then you better clear your schedule from February 18 – 21. Wanderlust – the super-cool yoga and music festival – is headed to Thredbo Alpine Village in NSW.
This four-day celebration of health and mindful living brings together a remarkable group of world renowned yoga and meditation instructors, speakers, artists and chefs for a unique retreat amidst a backdrop of magnificent mountain views. An exciting lineup of musical performers will also be showcased at the festival; including Dustin Thomas, Xavier Rudd and and legendary band United Nations.
Mix in meditation or relaxing yin classes with sweaty, uplifting vinyasa, or challenge yourself with something completely new like standup paddleboard yoga. But don’t fret, whether you’re an experienced yogi, meditator or are brand new to practice, Wanderlust will offer classes and styles for all levels. In between yoga classes, why not explore the area on horseback or take a hike up Mount Kosciuszko. In summer, Thredbo becomes a serious outdoor lover’s destination so you’ll be in for a real treat.
Then, taking center stage in culinary experiences is the Farm to Table Dinner, presented by Swisse. The menu will be specially curated by a guest celebrity chef and marries a local food ethos with a fine dining palette in a picturesque mountain-top setting.
“Our hope with Wanderlust Thredbo is that folks can discover inspiration and little gems of wisdom that help them go on to be their best selves. If we can inspire them to inspire their friends then just maybe we can, slowly, start to change the world. That is what it means to find your true north,” says Jonnie Halstead, Wanderlust Festival Director Australia/New Zealand.
