Fashion Week may be commonly associated with too many cups of coffee or glasses of champagne, enviable street style looks and not enough healthy food choices or hours of sleep (hence the coffee). But with wellbeing and mindfulness a growing trend, more models, designers and influencers are embracing a holistic approach.
Case in point: Bondi Bather’s Resort 17 Collection opened with a guided meditation.
It is no secret that the effects of meditation are potent. It helps relieve stress, improve concentration and enhance your overall wellbeing. That’s why this short meditation was the perfect antidote for staying calm and collected amongst the chaos. Taking a few minutes to close our eyes and focus on our breath (not Instagram) allowed us to relax our bodies and mind. In turn, achieving a greater sense of clarity so we could focus solely on the collection at hand, and enjoy the moment.
As for said collection, we were not disappointed. The Australian swimwear label showcased their new range which included chic one-pieces, cheeky bikinis and beach-ready separates in azure hues and playful prints.
Not to mention, the models rocked gorgeous braids. Redken’s Hair Director Philip Barwick created the beach to gym to bar look and it’s safe to say we now know what hair style we’ll be wearing tomorrow.
Another star of the Bondi Bather show was a super cute miniature dachshund, who was carried down the runway.
