As a nutritionist, I’m a firm believer in maintaining a balanced, nourishing diet, but I also believe in the therapeutic benefit of supplements, and how they can help our bodies reach their full potential. I’ve personally found supplementing to be beneficial for my health, as it can provide additional nutrients that we may not always obtain from diet alone. This, in addition to the common health concerns I hear about, is what inspired me to create our very own high-purity multivitamin. It’s made using high-quality ingredients, which are backed by research. Here’s a run-down of five key ingredients I take morning and night, and are present in our new AM+PM Vitamin.
Morning:
Panax quinquefolius:
This has been traditionally used in Western herbal medicine as an adaptogen, as it helps the body adapt to stress. It is also traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to relieve weariness, tiredness, fatigue, and feelings of weakness.
Selenium:
Maintains and supports healthy thyroid function, reproductive system health in males, immune system function and general wellbeing. It also helps to reduce and decrease free radical damage to body cells.
Vitamin C:
Maintains and supports collagen formation, connective tissue health, bone health, wound healing, nervous system health, immune system health and general wellbeing.
Evening:
Lavender:
Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to induce sleep and to relieve sleeplessness. It is also traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support the nervous system and to decrease, reduce, and relieve nervous tension and unrest. Lavender calms the mind, soothes and calms the nerves, relieves disturbed and restless sleep and relieves symptoms of mild anxiety.
Magnesium:
This mineral maintains and supports nervous system health and function. Additionally, magnesium maintains muscle function, bone health, and cardiovascular system health.
Note: Always consult your healthcare practitioner and take only as directed.
