I’ve waxed my bikini line, smashed a truckload of BBQ meat and have been practicing my Samba moves. Yep, my preparations for the Rio Olympics are almost complete.
I’ve been an aspiring athlete for most of my life but realised the closest I would ever get to competing in the Olympics was taking out the Pierre de Coubertin Award at high school. So you can imagine my excitement when our friends at Swisse called to say, “You’re off to the Olympics in Rio!”
Over the next few weeks I will be catching up with some of our Aussie hopefuls to hear about how their preparations are coming along, the challenges they have faced along the way and what it means to represent Australia at the Rio Olympics.
Once in Brazil, I will be admiring the real pros put their years of hard work and dedication to the test on the world’s greatest sporting stage. I will give you daily updates on our social media pages (@betterbeingpt and @sporteluxe) to bring you all the sights, sounds and smells of the Rio Olympics. I will also look at some fitness trends, places to eat, and basically everything Amodrn.
Send questions you might want to ask a professional athlete to my Twitter account → @betterbeingpt and keep your eyes peeled for some exclusive (and exciting) content coming your way soon.
