As you’ve no doubt heard, today is International Women’s Day. But for some, the celebration of inspiring girlbosses started a day early! Yesterday, Veuve Clicquot hosted 120 of Australia’s top young business leaders for their 2017 New Generation Awards. Our very own Bianca Cheah attended the event, where she enjoyed a glass of bubbly alongside other game-changing female CEOs.

The event

International celebrity Rachael Griffiths hosted the star-studded event at Sydney’s Louis Vuitton store. The actress and filmmaker is currently producing a film about the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup, Michelle Payne.

Today we celebrate the trailblazers. The women like Madame Clicquot and Michelle Payne who take risks, ignore the rules and inspire us to greatness. In the words of Madame Clicquot: ‘Act with audacity. Invent the things of tomorrow’.

Jess Hatzis and Bree Johnson were awarded the New Generation Award for successful, visionary, entrepreneurial businesswomen aged between 25 and 39. It’s safe to say Jess and Bree definately fit the bill — owning not one but two sucessful businesses! Not only are they the brains behind coffee-based skincare range Frank Body, they also run the copywriting agency, Willow & Blake. Talk about multitasking! To find out more about their inspiring journey, check out our exclusive interview here.
