We can’t deny that our love for crystals is in full swing. We’ve strategically placed them around our homes and workplace, we’ve popped a few in our handbag, and we even wear them around our neck. Heck, we may even sip some crystal water every now and then. But now, there’s a fresh take on crystal healing that’s further fuelling our obsession: crystal-infused beauty products.
There are a number of brands out there that have worked crystals into their formulas—from facial oils and relaxing bath soaks to all-natural exfoliant— to have a positive effect on the skin and mind.
How and why, exactly? We spoke to natural skincare expert and distributor of AEOS, Samantha Sargent for the lowdown.
How does crystal infusion work?
Spagyric tinctures are liquid gems and crystals prepared specifically for Aura-Soma (the manufacturer of AEOS energised organics skincare), according to an ancient holistic alchemic process, which views body, soul and spirit as a balanced unity.

What are the benefits of crystal-infused beauty products?

What are your favourite crystals to work with and why?
I personally love clear quartz and rose quartz. Clear quartz helps to promote clear perception, understanding and self-awareness. Whereas, rose quartz helps to promote self-love and our ability to love. On the physical level, spagyric tinctures of quartz have a cleansing and detoxifying effect, whereas the spagyric tincture of rose quartz helps to cleanse the skin and blood with anti-inflammatory properties.
How do you find the right crystal for you?
As humans, we tend to over think and analyse things so that we can ‘be sure’ that we’re getting it ‘right’. What I love about crystals is that there is so much that we don’t know. Crystal technology is nothing new. And neither is crystal healing. Crystals have been used for thousands of years, with records showing their existence in the lives of the Ancient Sumerians, Greeks, Egyptians and Chinese. So, when choosing a crystal, please leave your ‘thinking mind’ at the door, and follow your instinct to go with that ‘gut’ reaction. Whenever I’ve chosen a crystal it has always been a non-negotiable deal in my head. It’s like the crystal is literally jumping up and down saying ‘pick me, pick me’. This may sound a bit ‘woo woo’, but I assure you, nobody knows what is better for you than you. So always go with your gut instinct.
