Look up the definition of ‘fitspo’ and you’ll find Kirsty Godso. Not familiar? She’s the Nike Master Trainer who makes lunge jumps look effortless, has legs to her underarms, and makes a solid case for bike shorts. As a Nike athlete, she spends most of her days training and travelling but in between her busy schedule, we caught up with the lady in lycra to find out what makes her tick. From her favourite healthy hotspots to the latest sneakers she’s coveting, even what she eats for breakfast, we got to know Kirsty Godso.

Advice I would give my 20 yr. old self: Don’t be so hard on yourself. Try and be less in your head and more in the moment.
People are surprised that I: Genuinely love doing pull-ups 🙂
I’m inspired by (person, place or idea): Traveling, athletes (Allyson Felix is my favourite) and knowing that each and every one of us has the potential to go after what we have always wanted.
The biggest risk I have taken (that has paid off) is: Choosing to follow my dream over safer and guaranteed work options.
From my mistakes, I have learnt: Not to repeat them! Every mistake can be a great lesson, the most important thing is that we actually learn and adjust from them.

Out And About
Wake up time: 5:15am
Morning ritual: Spring out of bed, hit the gym for 90 minutes, come home and cook breakfast then get straight into my work. Mornings are my absolute favourite – especially eggs and avocado time after a big workout!

Guilty pleasure: Sneakers! I can’t stop buying them.

Cafe: Odettes (NZ), Bondi Wholefoods (Sydney), Two Hands (NYC)
Juice: I’m more of a kombucha girl but if I have to have a juice I like a beet, carrot, ginger mix!
Coffee: Black in the US unless I’m in NZ and Aus where I can get a beautiful Long Black – no one does coffee like us!
Culture stop: Vietnam and Mexico are my favourite!
Studio/gym: Equinox! Then for boutiques I love Tone House, SLT, Shadowbox, Prevail
