How to do the city like a local!

Best sydney wellness spots, Larmont Sydney

Currently residing in Los Angeles, one of the world’s biggest wellness hubs, Amodrn’s very own Bianca Cheah loves knowing that when she returns to Sydney, she’s also spoilt for choice. From yoga studios and running tracks to healthy cafes and luxe hotels, here’s where Bianca often frequents whenever she’s back Down Under:

1. Hotel: Larmont Hotel, Sydney

Wellness Hotspots Larmont Sydney
Address: 2/14 Kings Cross Rd, Potts Point NSW 2011, Australia.
Website: www.lancemore.com.au/larmont
Fav feature: Complimentary access to Body Mind Life Yoga and Anytime Fitness 24/7 which is attached to the hotel.
This 5-star hotel always looks after me—and their service is top notch! Not only are they so central and easy to get to, they always give me my favourite room on the top floor that features a duet sink, king bed and a balcony that overlooks the city lights. Plus, they’ll always have a platter of delicious fresh fruit and a bottle of rosé awaiting for my arrival. They seriously spoil me! I can also confirm that their beds are probably the best I’ve ever slept on (literally like sleeping on clouds) and their AC is so refreshing and cold which I love! I’m one of those people who needs to sleep in coldness, otherwise, I can’t sleep.
They offer:

  • Complimentary yoga at Body Mind Life
  • Complimentary access to Anytime Fitness (24 hours)
  • Complimentary breakfast

I highly recommend the Larmont in Sydney!

2. Coffee: Apache Salut

Apache Salute, this little bougi cafe on Boundary street make a great coffee, and for all your avocado lovers, their smashed avo on toast is the BEST. So plain and simple, they get it just right!

3. Healthy snacks: Orchard Street

They serve hot herbal elixirs, smoothies and juices, organic coffee, kombucha on tap and a delicious range of nourishing delights which are available to eat in or take away. I always buy one of their turmeric white chocolate pieces for while I’m on the run!

4. Yoga Studio: Flow Athletic

Best sydney wellness spots Yoga Studio
Address: 1/134 Oxford St, Paddington NSW 2021. Australia.
Website: flowathletic.com.au
Fav feature: The stunning yoga studio with the tree-line view!
Fun fact: This is where I learned yoga! And the team are all like family, so naturally, this is going to be my fav place to practice. Otherwise, if you’re looking for something left of field, Humming Puppy is a great studio as it utilizes sound therapy whilst you’re practicing yoga. It’s confronting at first, but it totally elevates your practice!

5. Dinner: Fei Jai

Best sydney wellness spots Fei Jai
Address: 1 Challis Ave, Potts Point NSW 2011, Australia.
Website: feijai.com
Fav feature: Most of their menu can be made gluten-free!
These guys are always booked out so I suggest making a booking in advance. I’ve never tasted better Chinese food than these guys! Most of the menu can be made gluten-free. My favourite dish is their steamed fish, gluten-free Szechuan calamari, gluten-free chicken dumplings, and gluten-free coconut Tapioca desert.

6. Wellness Hub: Selph

Wellness spots Sydney Selph
Address: 2H Hayes Road, Rosebery, NSW 2018, Australia

A membership-based wellness hub with on-the-spot services such as a yoga studio, meditation, chiropractor, physio, remedial massage, a nutritionist and acupuncturist, this (STUNNING) space is a one-stop-shop for all your wellness needs.

7. Running Track: Centennial Park, Sydney

Best sydney wellness spots, Centennial Park
Address: Centennial Park, Sydney.
Website: centennialparklands.com.au/visit/our-parks/centennial-park
Fav feature: The beautiful grand tree-lined roads
There are A LOT of running tracks in Sydney, but most of them are crowded with cyclists and casual walkers. The best part about Centennial park is that it’s 3.4km around the perimeter and the paths are huge! So you’ll rarely be held up by walkers or cyclists. There’s also a huge pond in the middle and cross tracks that you can take. The prettiest time to run this is at sunset where the golden sun streams through the trees.
