Panoramic Sydney Harbour views (with rosé in hand)? Check. A luxurious tent boasting all the amenities one might want, and then some? Check. An award-winning pop-up restaurant? Check. It all sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong!
Australian brand, Flash Camp (you might know them from their plush tents at Splendour In The Grass – you know, the ones with REAL beds) is transforming Sydney’s Clarke Island into a one-of-a-kind temporary hotel. Fusing the fun of camping and the serenity of connecting with nature with the luxury of a hotel stay, this is one experience not too be missed.
Flash Camp is coming to Clarke Island, Sydney Harbour
Twenty-two five-metre diameters, stylishly furnished Flash Tents will be set up on the northern side of the island, the perfect vantage point for an Instagram snap (or ten).
Each tent will boast plush mattresses (available in king and single sizes), quality bed linen, bamboo furniture Armadillo & Co rugs, solar lighting, Biology Skin toiletries and a host of extra creature comforts. Not to mention, the pop-up hotel will also include a communal lounge and dining area, ambient lighting and regularly serviced bathroom facilities. In short, this is glamping at its finest!
And if you’re feeling peckish, this secluded gem will also host a pop-up version of Three Blue Ducks. Although the restaurant menu hasn’t been revealed yet, you can be rest assured it will be lip-smackingly good.
“There’s something really exciting about cooking a large cut of meat or freshly caught fish and inviting guests to interact and be part of that experience,” Three Blue Ducks co-owner and head chef Mark LaBrooy told Concrete Playground.
There’s only one catch: The pop-up hotel is only open from November 19 to December 6, so if you want to get a taste of glamping without leaving the CBD, you better book fast.
