When you want an inexpensive (and all-natural) pampering session but don’t want to wander farther than your kitchen, try this DIY yoghurt soothing serum, courtesy of Bannie Williams, nutritionist, author of The Smoothie Manifesto and founder of The Healthy Ingredient.
We love that this serum is super easy to make and contains skin-loving ingredients like natural yoghurt, chia seeds, lemon juice and organic rosehip oil. It’ll help plump and soothe your complexion, and also keep redness and irritation at bay.
Making your own skin smoothies (or treatments) is a wonderful way to ensure your products are free from chemicals or nasty ingredients.
Yoghurt is a rich source of probiotics and can have a soothing effect when applied topically to the skin. Lemon juice acts as an antibacterial agent, chia seeds can help plump and nourish and rosehip oil can assist with the decreased appearance of fine lines and imperfections. – Bannie Williams.
