The Nike+ Training Club App Just Launched An Amazing Yoga Program

Just when we thought it couldn't get any better.

Nike+ Training Club, Nike Yoga

How many times have you walked out of a yoga class and thought to yourself, “Wow, I feel amazing … I really need to do that more often!” … only to avoid going to your mat for another six months?
We get it—although our practice sometimes falls to the wayside because we get distracted by the hottest workout of the moment, we eventually return to yoga because it just feels so damn good. So yeah, sometimes we’ll go weeks, or even months, without hitting up a class … But as soon as we sink back into those juicy stretches and settle into savasana, we remember why we love it so much.
Plus, we need yoga to balance our other workouts. The best athletes know that dedicating time to a restorative practice like yoga regularly doesn’t just prevent injury—it can also improve the strength, speed, mindfulness, and flexibility that they need in their sport of choice.
So it makes perfect sense that Nike has released a brand new yoga aspect of its free fitness app, Nike Training Club. According to Nike Master Trainer Branden Collinsworth, “At Nike, our goal is to make people better athletes. That’s why we create programming that prepares you for whatever life has to throw at you.”

The new yoga workouts live on the NTC App, alongside the other HIIT, strength training, and cardio workouts you already love. And like those programs, NTC’s yoga workouts are organised into three categories: endurance, strength, and mobility. The workouts also range in complexity and difficulty, so everyone from total beginners to yoga experts will be able to find a workout that works for their practice.
We love the new addition to the app because it’s like having a yoga teacher right in front of you, on your mat, leading you through a class. Select your yoga class and hit play to start a video that features one of Nike’s Master Yoga Trainers leading you through a workout verbally and physically. And of course, the instructors are amazing—they give clear advice and corrections as they guide you through the workout.
The best part, though, is that it’s so accessible. No matter where you are or what time it is, you can get your yoga in. Even if you only have 15 minutes, there’s a flow that will work for your needs. “This isn’t about just doing yoga on what would otherwise be an off day, but actually making yoga a regular part of your routine,” says Nike Master Trainer, Traci Copeland.
Download the NTC app and search under “Workouts” for yoga to get started!
