This year, MBFWA rolled out some of the latest and greatest beauty trends that we will be experimenting with in the months to come. Across the various shows I attended – from Georgia Alice to By Johnny to C/MEO Collective and Misha Collection – the latest trends were all about making the beautiful models look even more youthful, fresh and somewhat I ‘woke up like this’. Colour was not necessarily huge this season, it was more about skin and texture.

All about that base
The new skin trend that transcended across multiple runways, including Misha Collection, was all about a beautiful texture somewhere between a matte and dewey finish. We all know a flawless base is every girls ultimate makeup goal so keep in mind that less is definitely more this season. The ‘no makeup – makeup’ trend is here to stay.
Lashes, lashes, and more lashes

I am a huge fan of long, separated lashes. I love the simplicity of adding lashings of mascara to both top, and bottom lashes. By focusing on each individual lash and holding the mascara wand vertically, you can create that instant lash wow factor! Teamed with beautifully groomed brows, this is one summer beauty trend I can not wait to see more of.
Subtle smokey eye
This is quite possibly the easiest runway look to transition from day to night. Models rocked subtle smokey eyes in different tones from warm browns to charcoals in various shows. Use either a liner or eyeshadow and smudge around the top and bottom lash line. Not a pro at smokey eyes or makeup in general? This is an easy trend to practise at home. Keep the product tight to the lash line and your look will be foolproof.
